In April, Porsche announced that they had found 900 potential customers for the Porsche 918 Spyder Hybrid and if 100 more could be found, they would produce the super hybrid.

Porsche didn't go so far as to say they'd found those extra 100 buyers, but they did release a statement saying that the 918 Spyder would be entering production. The concept shown at the 2010 Geneva Auto show had a 500-horsepower V8, twin electric motors providing 210 horsepower and a seven-speed PDK transmission.

Pricing is rumored to be in excess of $600,000.
