John Hennessey is using this turbocharged Hyundai Genesis Coupe to promote his Tuner School — a 14-week program designed to launch its students into the world of aftermarket tuning. Based at his Texas facility, the school covers engine building, forced induction and dyno testing — all of which makes us wonder why there's no power claim for this single-turbo Genesis Coupe the company built.

Engine-717.jpgThe kit uses a ball-bearing turbo and huge 44mm Tial wastegate, which is some indication that it's capable of big power. Details are few, but it looks like the 3.8-liter V6's bottom end is stock. Hennessey lowered the compression ratio to 9.5:1 by porting the cylinder heads. The entire fuel system has also been upgraded. An AEM ECU controls the engine.
