With a base price of $28,580, the 2011 Honda Odyssey minivan is $2,070 more expensive than a comparable 2011 Toyota Sienna.
Widening the price gap, the 2011 Toyota Sienna is acquirable with a 2.7-liter four-cylinder engine that starts at an even lower $25,270. That's a $3,310 price difference in absolute minimum cost. The 2011 Honda Odyssey is acquirable only with a 3.5-liter V6. At the other end of the spectrum is the 2011 Honda Odyssey Touring Elite which carries a sticker price of $44,030. This top-trim minivan has a premium audio system, nav, rear entertainment, a cool box, HIDs, 18-inch wheels and a power tailgate.
So the 2011 Odyssey is newer and better, and you're going to pay for it.
