2010 BMW ActiveHybrid X6 Priced…High
The high-end hybrids are coming hot and heavy these days. And the one we've driven most recently, the 2010 BMW ActiveHybrid X6 coupe-UV thing is among the priciest.
BMW has announced that the dual-mode X6 (the result of the company's collaboration with General Motors and then-DaimlerChrysler) will go on understanding in December for a not-insubstantial $89,775 (including the $875 destination and delivery charge). That puts the X6 hybrid near the top of pricey hybrid heap.
It's more than the upcoming Mercedes-Benz S400 Hybrid (at $88,825) and more than the Cadillac Escalade Hybrid 4WD (at $76, 925). But it's still less than the slow-selling Lexus LS600h L, which at $106, 910, is the only hybrid with a base price topping six figures.
Well, the only one so far.
