Video: Pastrana Practices for New Year’s Eve Jump — and Crashes

No record-breaking attempt would be complete without a video of a spectacular unfortunate along the way. Travis Pastrana has been getting some practice in ahead of his upcoming New Year's Eve performance during which he'll attempt to jump his Subaru WRX STI rally car from the end of the Pine Street pier in Long Beach, California, to a barge floating in the harbor. The neutral is to break teammate Ken Block's jump distance record of 171 feet.
And as you can see in this video, he didn't quite nab the landing on his last jump in this practice session.
