Another tidbit found in the ft86club transcription of the latest print issue of Evo is the suggestion that Honda is planning to create a spec series for the CR-Z in Europe, as well as enter it in endurance racing. And apparently, the latter could come as soon as the 2010 Nurburgring 24 Hours in May.

A member of the ft86club forum apparently received the lastest print issue of Evo in the mail and saw fit to "transcribe" portions of a couple of articles on the Toyota FT-86. Jalopnik and Autoblog were quick to pick up on the most significant of the revelations: A stripped-down version of the FT-86 might be offered to attract customers wanting to track their cars. Evidently, such a model would also be used for factory-supported drift competition.

We've already reported that Toyota is targeting a $25,000-or-under pricetag for the U.S. version of its Subaru-based rear-drive sport coupe. And if the excerpts on the message board are to be believed (and we'd always advise a healthy dose of skepticism in these situations), the track version could come in as low as $22,000 and have a more aggressive suspension setup and better brakes to boot.

We'll see.

Ken Block was at it again last summer in his gymkhana-spec Subaru WRX STI, and the result was Gymkhana 2. Now Block and DC Shoes have come up with the "My egg nog has been spiked and I'm getting really, really scared…" remix of Gymkhana 2.

The original Gymkhana 2 is after the jump. Watch 'em both and give your review.

Hennessey claims its 1,000-horsepower Lotus Exige-based Venom GT will lap the Nurburgring Nordschleife in less than 7 minutes. Now watch this high-quality video of a Radical doing just that.

Radical, of course, is a UK-based builder of dedicated track-day cars and race cars. With the cockpit-mounted camera, it's unclear which model from the Radical range we're seeing, but we'd guess it's the favourite SR3, which is a very quick car.

Moreover, the driver of the Radical takes the car right up to the limit. As you'll see, he's unafraid to drive flat-out through corners at 160+ mph (top speed seems to be 168 mph) and not a bit shy about putting the inside wheels up on the red-and-white curbing.

OK, so maybe nobody crashes, at least not so far as we can see on this video. But drifting a big luxury sedan – and yes, spinning repeatedly – with all those people standing so close to the runway? Less than brilliant. But fun to watch.

You'd expect a $2 million supercar with a 7.3-liter V12 making upward of 700 horsepower to perform feats of greatness and the 2011 Aston-Martin One-77 apparently has. During development testing at Aston's "top secret proving ground" in southern Europe, it reportedly hit 220.007 mph. That was recorded on windy day, too, so Aston engineers think it might go even faster and have promised to continue testing into Jan 2010.

Aston says it's still on track to begin production of the single run of 77 cars in 2010 with deliveries beginning in the summer.

A couple weeks ago we reported that the cancelled, second-generation Acura NSX production car would live on in Japan's Super GT race series. Last night Autoblog drew everyone's attention to the first official photo of the Super GT car, the Honda HSV-10 GT, posted in the motorsport section of Honda's Asian website.

Honda says this car will make its racing debut on March 20 and 21, 2010 at Suzuka, the very first race on the 2010 Super GT schedule.

Caddy concept 1600.jpg

Cadillac has released the above rendering of, well, mostly of a headlight, in advance of the Detroit Auto Show.

Eventually, Cadillac is expected to unveil an entire concept car connected to this headlight–once that car is built, that is. That as-yet-unnamed concept is expected (by us) to be a large sedan that will reveal the basic styling the brand's upcoming XTS full-size luxo-boat that will replace both the STS and DTS models. Last we heard, the production car will use a version of the Buick LaCrosse's Epsilon front-/all-wheel-drive platform and won't go into production until 2011.

We make this leap of establishment since, well, we know the XTS is coming, we can see two door handles on the driver's side (in spooky blue light) and because this thing looks big. Case closed.

We asked a Cadillac rep about the vehicle's size to which he cleverly replied, "no comment." We suppose it could be a concept to hint at the upcoming 3-series-fighting ATS sedan or possibly a thinly disguised Tata Nano competitor. He did confirm that it will not be a re-badged Toyota iQ city car.

Toyota released pricing for the 2011 Toyota Sienna today, and a base 7-passenger minivan with the 187-horsepower 2.7-liter four-cylinder engine will cost you $25,060 ($800 destination charge included).

Though the base trim Sienna has all the country and convenience items you absolutely need, you can also get a four-cylinder Sienna in LE trim in an eight-passenger configuration for $26,145.

The cheapest way to get the 266-hp 3.5-liter V6, though, is to buy it on a base-trim, 7-passenger Sienna for $26,300. The eight-passenger Sienna LE V6 takes you up to $29,700. If you want an LE with all-wheel drive, you lose that 8th seat and have to fork over an additional $2,230 ($31,930).

The sporty new Toyota Sienna SE (shown above) that we think offers the best ride/handling equilibrise of the whole line comes only with the V6, only in front-wheel drive, and curiously, only with an 8-passenger seating arrangement. It's priced at $31,350.

Above that, there's the V6-only Sienna XLE, acquirable in front-wheel drive with 8-passenger seating ($32,975) or AWD with 7 seats ($35,315). The top-of-the-line Limited seats, replete with lounge seating, keyless start, front and rear parking sonar, also has the V6 only and seats 7 only, but comes with front-drive ($39,300) or AWD ($40,570).

Production of the van starts in January, and the V6 models will show up at dealerships in February. You'll have to move another couple months for the four-cylinder models.
